Students learn more when expectations are clear. This Teacher Clarity 2-day professional learning workshop facilitated by Dr. John Almarode, Professor of Education in the College of Education at James Madison University and co-author of the Teacher Clarity Playbook, 2nd Edition, will unpack a process for designing instruction that invites students into the learning process. Working alongside peers, teachers will learn how to explicitly communicate to students what they will be learning on a given day, why they're learning it, and how to know if they were successful. The Teacher Clarity framework encourages a culture of assessment-capable visible learners who take ownership of their learning journey. And when learners have agency, student engagement and achievement soar. Additional Infomration All participants will receive a copy of the Teacher Clarity Playbook, 2nd Edition. Participants should bring their own fully charged laptops. Lancaster County Workforce Development Board and Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 are pleased to announce the 2025 Lebanon County Industry Tours for Educators. These annual tours give educators a chance to step outside the classroom and into local industries to learn about a variety of occupations, projected job growth, and new technology. *TBD Additional Information: *Lunch is provided *Transportation will be provided, with pickup and drop-off at IU13. *Due to liability and space, attendees will not be permitted to drive themselves or transport other educators to the various locations. Please note that transportation will be via school buses. *Tours will involve physical activity including walking. *For safety and following company policies, all attendees must wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. Tank tops, shorts and dresses/skirts are not permitted. Please ensure your attire meets these requirements. Cost: There is no cost to participating educators. Registration: *Open to educators in Lancaster and Lebanon Counties. *Space is limited! Please ensure that you are registered in Frontline for both your district and IU13.
